For 4 burgers:

½ oz butter
2 rashers (slices) bacon
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 oz Cheddar cheese (grated)
1 tablespoon milk
¼ teaspoon English mustard (or other very hot mustard)
  salt and pepper

How to Cook Bacon and Cheese Burger Topping

  1. First, make the burgers, remove from the pan and place them on a plate in a warm oven. Chop the bacon into small pieces and fry for 2-3 minutes in the pan in which the burgers were made.
  2. Place the grated cheese, butter, Worcestershire sauce, milk, mustard and cooked bacon pieces into a mixing bowl and, using a fork, blend well together. Spoon some of this mixture over each burger and place under a preheated moderate grill until melted and golden brown.
GRAHAM'S HOT TIP:
Whilst making the burgers, leave the butter in a dish a room temperature to soften a little before mixing
