Bacon and Cheese Burger Topping

Serves: For 4 burgers

½ oz - butter

2 rashers (slices) - bacon

1 teaspoon - Worcestershire sauce

2 oz - Cheddar cheese (grated)

1 tablespoon - milk

¼ teaspoon - English mustard (or other very hot mustard)

  - salt and pepper

  1. First, make the burgers, remove from the pan and place them on a plate in a warm oven. Chop the bacon into small pieces and fry for 2-3 minutes in the pan in which the burgers were made.
  2. Place the grated cheese, butter, Worcestershire sauce, milk, mustard and cooked bacon pieces into a mixing bowl and, using a fork, blend well together. Spoon some of this mixture over each burger and place under a preheated moderate grill until melted and golden brown.
