Crunchy Stuffed Pears Recipe

Crunchy Stuffed Pears

Graham

Recipe by

Crunchy Stuffed Pears is a wonderful way to present fresh pears and very healthy too (only 110 calories per portion). Filled with the goodness of crunchy walnuts, cottage cheese and raisins, this baked pear recipe is sure to be a holiday favorite.

Supportive but not conclusive research shows that eating 1.5 ounces of walnuts per day, as part of a low saturated fat and low cholesterol diet, and not resulting in increased caloric intake may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. (U.S. Food and Drug Administration, March 2004.)

Graham GRAHAM'S HOT TIP:
If you plan keeping this dessert in the fridge for more than half an hour before serving, sprinkle a little extra lemon juice on the pear flesh to stop it turning brown.
