How to Cook Crunchy Stuffed Pears
- Cut the pears in half lengthways, remove the cores and sprinkle with lemon juice. Peel and grate (shred) the ½ apple into a bowl and add the cottage cheese, walnuts and raisins. Mix together then add a little Worcestershire sauce and a dash of salt and pepper to taste. Pile the mixture into the hollowed out pear halves and garnish with redcurrants and basil leaves.
GRAHAM'S HOT TIP:
If you plan keeping this dessert in the fridge for more than half an hour before serving, sprinkle a little extra lemon juice on the pear flesh to stop it turning brown.
