So Simple but so tasty! Fried Bananas are actually a great way to use up bananas that are maybe a little too ripe to eat normally. Also, bananas combat depression, help cure hangovers, relieve morning sickness, protect against kidney cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis and blindness so you can eat as many as you want with no conscience!

sugar or honey

How to Cook Fried Bananas

  1. Peel the bananas and cut in two lengthways. Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the bananas over a medium heat for a few minutes on each side. Sprinkle with sugar, pour honey over them or add some double cream (heavy cream) and drizzle with chocolate syrup. Serve immediately.

Graham GRAHAM'S HOT TIP:
If you are buying bananas just for frying, try to find some that are under-ripe (with green skins) since they will soften considerably whilst cooking.

My sort of cooking - stupidly simple and something that the kids love. They howl for this one on a regular basis!! I have even used it as a reward for behaving themselves.
