PLEASE NOTE: This recipe calls for the GRILLING or BROILING of food. In most countries of the world, the term "grilling" refers to heat coming from above the food source. Significantly, in North America, it signifies heat from below the food (such as barbecuing). In the United States and Canada, when the heat source for grilling comes from above, grilling is termed broiling, and the pan that holds the food is usually called a broiler pan.
How to Cook Sausage and Bacon Kebabs
- Cut each bacon rasher (slice) in half and roll it up tightly. Wash the mushrooms. Thread the sausages, bacon and mushrooms alternatively onto 6 skewers or kebab sticks. Brush with oil and sprinkle with salt and freshly ground pepper.
- Cook under a preheated grill or on a barbeque for about 7-8 minutes, turning frequently and brushing with more oil as necessary. Serve hot with Baked Potatoes or Fresh Tomato Salad

An unusual but tasty alternative is to make some sage and onion stuffing (if you can buy the stuffing mix) then, instead of just rolling the bacon, take a small portion of stuffing and roll the bacon around it. This adds a tasty savoury dimension.

Reviews of Sausage and Bacon Kebabs
![]() Deep joy! Apart from the basic recipe (which works just fine), I like the tips and clues... the idea of wrapping sage and onion stuffing in bacon, and also the fresh tomato salad to go with it. Meal worthy of a king! geoffturner (2 reviews) |
